Caring for Your Wooden Charcuterie Board
A little love goes a long way. Here's how to keep your board beautiful, functional, and ready for every delicious spread.

A Kind Reminder Before You Begin
Charcuterie boards are designed to showcase food beautifully, not to be used as cutting surfaces. While they may look sturdy, they’re crafted for presentation, not slicing.
Cutting directly on your charcuterie board can damage its surface and shorten its life. Unlike cutting boards, which are made with edge grain construction to handle knife pressure, charcuterie boards are often made with face grain for aesthetic appeal.
To keep your board looking its best, always use a proper cutting board for slicing and reserve your charcuterie board for serving and styling.

After Each Use: Simple Cleaning Ritual Hand Wash with Care
After your gathering, gently wash your board with warm water and mild dish soap. Use a soft sponge or cloth—no harsh scrubbing needed. Do not soak the board or put in dishwasher in order to maintain the shape of the wood.

Dry Thoroughly
Pat the board dry with a clean towel, then stand it upright or on its side to air dry completely. This helps prevent moisture buildup and keeps the wood in great shape.

Seasoning Your Board
A Nourishing Touch Hydrate & Protect
Every few uses (about every 3 washes), treat your board to a little spa moment. Apply a food-grade mineral oil or beeswax conditioner using a clean cloth, rubbing gently along the grain. Let it soak in for several hours or overnight, then wipe away any excess. Quick Water Test
Not sure if it’s time to reapply? Place a small drop of water on the board. If it absorbs quickly, it’s time to rehydrate with oil or wax. 🛒 Tip: You can find food-grade mineral oil or beeswax conditioner at most local hardware stores or kitchen supply shops.

⚠️ A Note on Nature Wood is a beautiful, natural material, each board is unique. To keep yours from cracking or warping, avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures like direct sunlight, high heat, or freezing conditions.

How to Care for Your Hardwood Table
Your table is more than furniture. it’s a gathering place, a story holder, and a reflection of your home. With a little care, it will stay beautiful for years to come.

TLC
Dust your table regularly with a soft, dry cloth to keep it looking fresh and loved. For deeper cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth with a mild soap—just enough to lift away any smudges or crumbs. Harsh chemicals and abrasive cleaners aren’t needed here; gentle is best.

Protect from Life’s Little Spills
Life happens, coffee cups, water glasses, and dinner parties. To keep your table safe:
Wipe up spills promptly to prevent staining.
Use coasters, placemats, and table runners to shield the surface from moisture, heat, and scratches.
Avoid placing hot dishes directly on the wood.

Create a Cozy
is a natural material that responds to its surroundings. To help it thrive:
  • Keep your table out of direct sunlight to prevent fading.
  • Avoid placing it near radiators or heating vents.
  • Try to maintain a consistent indoor temperature and humidity level to prevent warping or cracking.

Nourish the Wood Every few months, treat your table to a little pampering:
Apply a wood-safe polish or conditioner using a soft cloth, following the grain.
For oil-finished or unfinished tables, use food grade mineral oil or beeswax to hydrate and protect the surface. This simple ritual helps preserve the wood’s natural glow and resilience.

Gentle Long-Term Care

Avoid dragging heavy items across the table to prevent scratches.
If small marks appear, gently buff with fine steel wool and reapply oil or polish.
For deeper wear or damage, consider professional refinishing to restore its beauty.
